A NOROVIRUS outbreak at an infant school in Shinfield has led to it temporarily shutting for a 'deep clean'.
The Shinfield Infant and Nursery School, in School Green, put out an announcement this morning to say it will be closed until Wednesday, December 18.
It said it was due to 'high levels of sickness'.

The school was meant to have hosted its Christingle Service for Year 2 children today, and is expecting to host Nasal Flu Vaccine day for students on December 18.
Wokingham Borough Council tweeted this notice today: "We have been advised that due to a high level of sickness, Shinfield Infant and Nursery school is closed for deep cleaning on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 December."

The closure comes shortly after the vomit-inducing virus had an outbreak at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, with staff advising those suffering to stay away from the hospital for at least 48 hours after the symptoms have gone.
In regards to the virus, the NHS advise washing hands frequently with soap and water as the best way to stop it spreading.
It also warned that alcohol hand gels do not kill Norovirus.
