RACEGOERS pushed wheelbarrows and wore their best costumes in a bid to raise money for good causes.
The annual Sunninghill Wheelbarrow race celebrated its 22nd year on January 1, with entrants dressed in fancy dress whilst racing in a wheelbarrow.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Ascot, the day is a brilliant way to kick start the New Year and raise money for charities.

Robin Pickup, member of the Rotary Club of Ascot, said: "It is just brilliant and truly demonstrates the fantastic community spirit of the Ascot Area and Sunninghill Village in particular."
18 Teams consisting four members pushed their wheelbarrows in a circular route from St Michael's School through Sunninghill Village with drinks stations at The Dukes, Tuss Hill Road, The Dog and Partridge and The Carpenters Arms.
The race saw more than £700 raise for the Ascot Day Centre and there is money left over which will be donated to other local charities.
Team prizes:
Fastest Men’s team - Scooby Bee Doo Bee Doos
Fastest Mixed team - Maya
Fastest Adult/Children - Wheely Good Hymns

Mr Pickup added: "All in all it was just a fantastic day enjoyed by all.
"A special thank you to all the spectators who gave generously, the myriad of volunteers providing marshalling and collection duties along with our sponsors Signature Homes, Ascot Race Course, Marist School, Beverley Williams Estate Agents and the Carpenters Arms."
