BEFORE the turn of the year, the News laid bare the five plans which could change the face of Bracknell Forest in the coming years.
Developers have been quiet about submitting new proposals over the Christmas break, but that doesn’t mean council planning chiefs have.

Here are five plans refused or approved by Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) development chiefs in the last month.
Changes at Birch Hill’s Aldi (planning reference: 19/00318/FUL)
Supermarket chiefs at Aldi have already added a new exit to the store and have made changes to the entrance, and managers also wanted to add a canopy over the site to reduce noise coming from the shop.
Despite objections from Bracknell Town Council and nine neighbours who were still worried about loud sounds reaching properties nearby, BFC chiefs said yes to the plans.

This means shop bosses have to install the canopy within two months of the permission being granted to protect occupants of nearby properties.
Four new homes in Bracknell (17/00929/FUL)
Developers wanted to build four new homes after knocking down a bungalow on Meadow Way in Bracknell.
This plan was originally given the all-clear by councillors at a planning committee meeting in February 2018, despite six objections.

But a new legal agreement relating to planning obligations means the plan has now been given the green light again by BFC bosses.
Four new homes in Bracknell (19/00756/FUL)
No, you’re not seeing double – planning chiefs also decided on this controversial plan for four new dwellings on Windlesham Road.
But unlike the above proposal, councillors refused this plan after eleven neighbours and Bracknell Town Council objected to the designs.

Two pairs of semi-detached houses will not be built on this road because planning committee members believed the development would have a negative impact on a public right of way and a special protection area.
Fifteen parking bays in Bracknell (19/00856/FUL)
More spaces will be made available at Ashbourne after BFC gave permission to Silva Homes.
This comes despite objections multiple objections from addresses at Ashbourne, despite Bracknell Town Council being okay with the proposal.
The bays will be dotted around seven spots in Ashbourne rather than clustered into one space.
Outdoor riding arena in Warfield (19/00983/FUL)
Bosses at Buckle Lane Farm will be allowed to add a new horse training arena to their site after BFC bosses gave the plans the green light.
The move will see the arena – which will measure 20 metres by 40 metres – replace a paddock.
Warfield Parish Council had no objections to the plans.
