Jogging is a great cardio workout which keeps your heart rate in check and helps you lose weight, while releasing endorphins and making you feel happier.
Instead of paying for a gym membership, why not embrace the beautiful scenery Bracknell and Wokingham has to offer by joining a Parkrun.
Parkrun is an organisation which hosts 5km runs in green spaces across the country every week.
They can be a fantastic way to exercise in the fresh air as well as meeting new people.
The idea is simple, groups of runners meet to complete a 5k route at their closest park and you don't have to be the fastest as you can go at a walking pace too.
There is no fee, all you need to do is sign up on the website to receive a barcode, which can track your exact time if you want to.
Where can I take part in a Parkrun?
- California Country Park, Finchampstead
- Great Hollands Recreation Ground, Bracknell
- Sandhurst Memorial Park, Sandhurst
- Dinton Pastures Country Park, Wokingham
The 5k run is every Saturday at 9am.
