BRACKNELL will be “at the epicentre of free trade” - that’s the message from Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
This comes after Bracknell’s new MP James Sunderland asked the PM to “reassure” MPs trade agreements were coming after the UK leaves the EU at the end of January.

Mr Sunderland said: “The Prime Minister will know that the Bracknell constituency is the proud home of over 150 internationally-focused companies.
“Could you please reassure the house what is being done to develop new, post-Brexit worldwide trade deals for the benefit of everyone in Bracknell, Crowthorne, Finchampstead, Sandhurst and of course right across the UK?”
Responding to Bracknell’s MP, Boris Johnson said: “From the 31st of this month, we will begin the process of negotiating free-trade agreements not just with the EU, but with friends and partners around the world so that Bracknell is at the epicentre of global free trade.”

Roy Bailey, Chair of Bracknell Constituency Labour Party, said: “Good question from James but trite, vacuous response from Boris Johnson.
“I wonder if he heard Malcolm Turnbull, former Aussie PM, on Newsnight last night about the UK's perilous venture outside of the EU?

“The future after Brexit looks decidedly grim.”
Bracknell resident Mark John added: “It’s obviously nice to see Bracknell get a mention and I think it‘s important to talk Britain up.
“However, it’s also important to be a realist and not take Boris Johnson’s guff as all the reassurance you need. History proves that.
“I’d like to see Mr Sunderland talking about the thousands of independent businesses in Bracknell — I can’t remember the last time they got a mention.”
The question came at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, January 22.
