SHUTTLE BUSES are set to help residents affected by water works in Wokingham.
The buses, provided by South East Water and Reading Buses, is set to let residents living in California Country Park, Finchampstead, keep on the move around the £1.4 million project for improved water works in the area.
The temporary buses will travel between the Country Park and Sheerlands Road, from February 3, and will allow residents to access their usual us services to Reading or Bracknell.
According to South East Water, more than a kilometre of pipe has been laid since the project began in July 2019, going through Finchampstead Road, Billing Avenue, Gorse Ride South and Nine Mile Ride.

Jeremy Dufour, Project Manager, said: “We’ve worked closely with Reading Buses throughout this project and I’m pleased we have been able to provide a new shuttle service to help residents in California Country Park.
“I’m really sorry about any disruption caused but our work to revamp the water network in the area is essential in order for us to maintain tap water supplies in the future.
"Our project is making really good progress and we are working on schedule.
“Our contractor is currently laying two pipes, one to strengthen the network as the community grows and another to replace an ageing pipe in the area.”
