A "DISGUSTED" pensioner has slammed a retirement village for taking too long to repair a lift, which has been out of action since December 2019.
John Golding, who lives in Cedar Lodge in Lynwood Village, Sunninghill spoke to the News on behalf of "trapped" residents about his anger towards the lift not working.

The 77-year-old said it is "disgusting" because there are two lifts for a reason, and when one doesn't work, residents in wheelchairs have to wait a long time to come down.
He also claimed residents pay hundreds of pounds a month towards maintenance bills.
Mr Golding said: "Nobody really cares because they don't have to use it but it has taken them since before Christmas to repair it. It's an absolute joke.
"We're paying so much to live here and for what?
"Some residents have been trapped in their own flats due to the lift not working."
The retired builder explained how he pays up to £800 a month towards ground rent, which pays towards the maintenance of the gardens and retirement village — which is on top of the price he paid for the flat when he first bought it 10 years ago.

According to Lynwood Village, the lift was out of action due to a "major part failure" which has taken time for the part to be delivered.
Stephen Robinson, care services director at Ben, the charity which owns Lynwood Village, said: "Our Lynwood Village owners, staff and visitors to the site have been using the alternative lift during this time, but we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
"We are committed to delivering a high-quality customer service to everyone who lives at Lynwood Village.
"Our lift service provider identified the belt to be faulty and consequently contacted the lift manufacturer directly to obtain a quote and lead time for delivery of the part.
"We have been given a repair date of Wednesday, February 5, for the works to be carried out."

Despite plans for the lift to be repaired this week, Mr Golding want's to know why it has taken so long in the first place.
He added: "There was a noise coming from the lift before they broke, why they didn't think to investigate it at the time I do not know. It may have prevented all of this in the first place.
"It is also a hazard for residents if they are stuck in their flats and can't get down the stairs."
