AN ARTISAN cafe is joining in with the latest trend in serving up coffee with a shot of cannabis oil in Wokingham.
Sit & Sip Tasting Room in the town centre will reportedly be the first in the borough to sell coffee made with Cannabidiol (CBD) - a compound non-psychoactive substance found in the plant.
As of this month, the bar will be selling CBD-infused coffee and sparkling drinks, with the hopes of adding CBD-infused Espresso Martinis to the menu by next month.

Despite the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) saying there is little evidence of its medical benefits, many people claim it has health benefits including reducing anxiety, relieving pain, helping with osteoarthritis, and even epilepsy.
CBD has no psychoactive properties, whereas it's 'cousin' Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) also found in cannabis, does - this is what produces the cannabis 'high' and remains illegal in the UK.
The Peach Street cafe was officially opened in May 2019, serving independently-brewed and locally-crafted drinks, teas and coffees.
Sit & Sip owner James Mattingley said: "CBD is growing in popularity rapidly and as a tasting room it’s important we bring these new innovative products to our customers for them to try.
"I am excited to hear their comments and feedback on what they think of the CBD trend.
"This is a unique and exciting addition to what we already have on the menu."

He added: "CBD is becoming really popular in the healthy living community and this is a great way for people to integrate the benefits of CBD into their daily routines.
"We hope people will enjoy giving it a go.
"These drinks that contain CBD are said to have a lot of health benefits so we’re really excited to be serving them up to Sit & Sip customers.
"It’s something different that’s just starting to become a real craze.
"We want to give the people of Wokingham the chance to give it a try in Sit & Sip style."
