FIRST designs for the town’s new youth centre have been revealed as the plans move one step closer to reality.
These proposals are just one lot of five interesting plans validated by Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) this week.

All plans are yet to be decided on, however, and full details for each proposal can be found at planapp.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/ using the attached reference numbers.
First youth centre designs revealed (planning reference 20/00080/3)
Braccan Walk car park’s ground floor is set to be converted into a new youth centre for Bracknell’s youngsters.
BFC budget documents for next year suggest the new facility could be open by September 2020 and will cost £23,000 to run in the first year, and £17,000 to run in the second year.
A report from applicants shows the new centre would have:
- An open plan multipurpose area
- A meeting room
- Three ‘breakout’ rooms
- A living skills room
More than a dozen new apartments at former Bracknell church site (20/00077/FUL)
The Portsmouth Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust wants to build 15 apartments at the former St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Church site at Ringmead in Hanworth.

Previous proposals for this site saw the Trust hoping to build fourteen three-storey homes on the land.
But these plans were shelved in June 2019 after neighbours complained about increased traffic on roads and the location being inappropriate for new homes.
New additions at Kennel Lane School (20/00081/3)
Bosses at the Warfield school have submitted designs for an outbuilding which could be used as additional accommodation for pupils.

Included in the plans are changes to the school’s play area, where new play equipment could be installed.
An ‘action station’, new swings and spring seats could be coming to the school if Bracknell Forest planning bosses give this proposal the all-clear.
Four new homes in Bracknell (20/00078/FUL)
Developers want to build four new houses at the site of two existing homes on Windlesham Road.
This plan comes after Bracknell Forest Council’s planning committee refused original designs which would have an “adverse impact” on Queensway Public Right of Way in September 2019.

Applicants say this new planning application has addressed the planning committee’s concerns.
Extensions at a house in Sandhurst (20/00069/FUL)
Homeowners at a property on Edgbarrow Rose want to add a single-storey extension to the back of their dwelling.
A two-storey side extension would go up at the side of the property, with a porch planned for the front.
Applicants want to demolish their garage to make these plans a reality.
