A LAW firm has been forced to close down in an investigation of "suspected dishonesty" of its manager Rupinder Kainth.
Wilson and Berry solicitors in Bracknell closed on Monday, February 3, after the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) found reasons to suspect dishonesty.

The SRA found this to be on the part of Rupinder Kainth, the manager of the firm, in connection with the firm’s business.
An SRA spokesman said: "The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has intervened into the practice of Rupinder Kainth at Wilson & Berry, Lily Hill House, Lily Hill Road, Bracknell
"The grounds of intervention are reason to suspect dishonesty on the part of Rupinder Kainth as a manager of the firm, and that various rules under the SRA Code of Conduct had been broken.
"The SRA will now investigate further the issues raised that have led to this intervention to see if any additional action is necessary. At this stage of the SRA's work, no further details can be disclosed."
While investigations are being carried out, Rupinder Kainth can no longer practice as a solicitor and the firm has been closed with immediate effect.

The SRA intervention means the firm can no longer operate, it will take possession of all documents and papers held by the firm and take possession of all money (including client's money).
The SRA commented: "An agent has been appointed to deal with all matters held by Wilson and Berry and will assess all on-going matters and deal with those of greatest need first. The SRA's archive team will take control of all documents held by the firm.
"The practising certificate of Rupinder Kainth has been automatically suspended, so she cannot practice as a solicitor."
Clients of Wilson and Berry have been told to contact Lester Aldridge LLP by emailing: interventions@la-law.com if they have a query.
Wilson and Berry were unable to provide a comment as they are in the process of being taken over.
