A councillor is being investigated for after claims about bullying and harassment were made against them.
This allegation made up one of six complaints against elected officials at Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) in the past year.
WBC chiefs are currently investigating the bullying allegation, which was made by a member of the public earlier this month.

The councillor’s identity has been anonymised by a report detailing the six complaints made from February 2019 to February 2020, and an update on the accusation — which is still being investigated — is set to be given at a WBC meeting next week.
One other complaint is ongoing after a member of the public complained about the chairing of a council meeting.
Four other complaints have closed. These were:
- One complaint that resulted in a councillor apologising to another councillor after an investigating officer found the former breached a code of conduct in the manner of their behaviour.
- A complaint about the alleged disclosure of confidential information on a councillor’s personal website, which saw the latter apologise to the member of the public who complained.
- A grievance from a resident about social media posts from two councillors. This matter was dealt with by Wokingham Without Parish Council
- A complaint about one councillor from another councillor about the former’s behaviour. An investigation into the issue went ahead and was settled after a confidential apology to the claimant.
