HUNDREDS of pounds have been given a to Wokingham community group helping those who have lost loved ones.
Grief and a Cuppa, a group dedicated to supporting people through bereavement, were given £400 raised at Wokingham's third SOUP event.
The purpose of the event at The Westmead Centre, Rances Lane, is to gather members of the community to listen to discus community project ideas, with funds raised going to the winning project.

The event, serving home-made soup, bread and refreshments successfully raised £200, which was matched by organisers and social care provider group Optalis.
Lucy Herd, organiser of Grief and a Cuppa, said: "I plan to buy a gazebo and coffee making facilities so that I can create pop-up events for the wider community.
"We are really thankful for everything that Optalis has done to help Grief and a Cuppa grow."

Jodie Reichelt, Head of Engagement and Customer Experience at Optalis, added: "We are delighted that it was such a successful evening, which enabled three fantastic local groups to raise awareness of the work they are doing and share community-building ideas.
