AN ARMY of seamstresses are prepared to sew thousands of scrubs to help frontline staff during the coronavirus pandemic at Frimley Park Hospital.
The owner of Linda Yong Couture in Ascot has pledged to make 2,000 hospital scrubs but she is in "desperate need for rolls of fabric".
Lynda Yong said: "There is a huge shortage of fabric from our supplier due to them donating to their local hospitals.
"We are in need of polyester-cotton but it has to be washed at 60 degrees first and rolls of fabric."

Normally, the workshop would have 10-12 seamstresses working but only three are allowed, making it hard to keep up with time pressures.
Today, they will be "working their butts off" to create their first samples says Lynda and she expects to have all 2,000 scrubs ready for Frimley Park by April 13.

She added: "We have had a lot of people at home with sewing skills who want to help. We will cut the scrubs first according to pattern and provide an online video of how to make them.
"I am overwhelmed by the response so far and we have been working our butts off recently.
"But I can't stress enough that we need more rolls of fabric. If you have any please send them to us."
Frimley Park Hospital has confirmed this project will help staff who are working elsewhere in the hospital, not against coronavirus.
