A DRIVER reportedly confessed to police that he had been smoking “a lot of cannabis” the night before they stopped him.
Police officers said the driver was stopped in Finchampstead on Monday, March 30, at around 8pm.
The force said the car was pulled over by officers for not having been taxed.

When police reportedly questioned him, he responded saying that he had smoked “a lot of cannabis” the night before.
This was reported as part of a tweet from the Roads Policing team.
Officers also revealed the driver had already been issued 13 points on his driver’s licence previously.
He was given a drugs test and the results came back positive for cannabis.
Thames Valley Police said he was then arrested.

TVP Roads Policing team tweeted: “A car was stopped in Finchampstead for not being taxed.
“The driver stated that he had smoked “A lot of cannabis” last night. “You can all probably guess what happened next.
“The driver provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis and was then arrested.
“He also had been awarded three penalty points on his driver’s licence.”
