PLENTY of people were seen out enjoying the sunshine this weekend on the warmest weekend so far this year - despite government lockdown advice to stay inside.

Angered and "disgusted" readers sent in pictures to the News of groups of people reportedly seen flouting social distancing rules by sitting outside sunbathing and enjoying picnics.

The government official advice says people should only be leaving the house for 'essential' reasons only, such as if their work requires them to do so, to shop for basic supplies like food, to exercise once a day, or for health reasons.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock urged the public not to go outdoors this weekend after warmer weather was forecast hitting highs of 21C yesterday (Sunday, April 5).

One resident who was walking past South Hill Park said she noticed a lot of people on the South Hill Park field.

They said: "It just upset that no one is listening to the rules that are set and that it will affect all of us in the end. Plus I have a little boy in a flat so have no where to go outside wise and people are sunbathing and chilling on south hill field - it not fair."

A Bracknell News reader also sent in pictures after spotting group of people in Lily Hill Park not sitting two metres apart from one other.

She said: "I am disgusted by those having picnics in Lily Hill Park yesterday!"
