CORONAVIRUS didn't stop one family from Bracknell from going on their camping holiday over the weekend.

David Luck and his wife Gemma from Binfield promised their son Ben that once the weather was nice, they would take him camping.

However, with the lockdown rules meaning we're confined to our homes, the family took it upon themselves to bring their holiday in their front garden.

Mr Luck said: "Ben was bored and had been asking if we could go camping (as we had told him we'd go camping the moment the weather gets nice) but obviously we couldn't go.

"There was a charity camp out on the same day, we didn’t even realise."

After camping outside the garden just for fun, the family had also been taking part in a nationwide garden camp-out which raised £80k for the NHS.

The BBC reported how thousands of campers slept in tents, camper vans and in their front rooms at home to raise money for the NHS in the fight against coronavirus.

People who took part were asked to donate £2 to a JustGiving page and more than £80,000 has been raised.

The money raised will go to NHS Charities Together.
