A NEW ‘tailored gym service’ could be on its way to the town centre.
Base Strength and Conditioning wants to open up a fitness centre on Market Street, not far from Bracknell Forest Council’s (BFC) offices and Bracknell railway station.
The space the gym operators are hoping to move into is currently empty and sits at the bottom of High Street car park -- where Enterprise Rent a Car used to be based.
A planning statement read: “The applicants have been working in the health and fitness industry for several years and will be offering tailored coaching service to their clients rather than a traditional drop-in gym facility.

“The applicant intends to provide a personal fitness training environment and group
sessions as part of the business operations.
“All sessions whether individual or group based will be pre-booked and not on a drop-in session basis.”
Gym bosses anticipate being able to coach twelve members per class.

Three full-time jobs could be created by the new fitness business, with at least two staff members on-site at any time.
According to planning documents, the gym would be open Monday to Friday from 6am to 9pm and from 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.
The business would be closed on Sundays.
BFC owns the unit and is currently marketing the space for an annual rent price of £22,000.
