GROUPS of people were reportedly seen 'flouting' social distancing rules as the weekend saw sunshine and warm weather.

Shoppers in Bracknell had 'trollies full of BBQ' food as well as young people meeting up on bikes and people sunbathing in parks over the weekend (April 26).

The Bracknell News asked it's readers whether they have noticed more people out on the weekend.

In our Facebook poll, 409 people voted so far and 79 per cent of people said they agree and saw people ignoring lockdown advice which is to stay inside.

Bracknell News:

One person said: "I overlook the park and every day see people sunbathing, teens meeting up on bikes, so many not following guidelines - it’s sad and because of these people more will die.

"These people will only start caring when it’s people they know who die. I’d rather know I’ve done everything to protect everyone around me. We aren’t even in a proper lockdown, this is why I think our country will be hit the worst."

Out of our News poll, 20 per cent of people said they didn't many people outside.

Despite this, many residents said they couldn't answer the question properly as they were staying indoors - so good on them for following the advice!

Supermarkets were quite busy too, with queues forming in Morrisons as people stopped by to pick up BBQ essentials. One person added: "Morrison’s was heaving, people had trollies full of BBQ stuff (enough to feed 12/15 people) people weren’t respecting the 2 metre social distancing. I got my milk and essentials and got out. There were queues for The Range & The pound shop. Loads of cars on the roads."
