A DEVASTATED woman realised thieves had broken into her car after a good samaritan found her disabled bag and dropped it off to her home.

Susan Brind from Easthampstead contacted Thames Valley Police after discovering multiple items were stolen from her car, including Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin CDs as well as her late fathers 80s folding Porsche sunglasses.

Police said the theft happened between 4pm on Wednesday, April 22 and 2.25pm on Thursday, April 23 when items including CDs and sunglasses were stolen from a silver SsangYong Rexton car.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public to come forward following the theft in Bracknell.

Ms Brind said: "I believe they got into my car overnight. Luckily a gentleman found my disabled badge and contacted the council who in turn contacted myself to say it had been found. I am glad to get the disabled badge back as I need to park near to shops as I can't walk any long distances so I need it. I would like to say thank you again to the gentleman for bringing my badge back to me.

"They took things like heavy rock CDs, mostly presents from my children, a purse that was my late mothers with change in it for hospital car parks, leads and other paperwork for a Kenwood multi navigation system."

A police spokesman said: "Anybody with any information, or who believes that they witnessed the incident should make a report online or call 101 quoting reference 43200121326.

"The case has currently been filed pending further information coming to light."
