A DECISION has been delayed on whether a kebab van in Wokingham can continue trading at the car park of a youth centre.
BBQ King has been trading near St Paul’s Church, Reading Road, for about 30 years, and most recently in the car park of Wokingham Youth and Community Centre.
But the kebab van could soon be forced to move or close because of concerns that its customers were smoking cannabis, getting drunk, urinating and littering in the car park.

Councillors on the licensing committee at Wokingham Borough Council were due to meet this morning to hear both sides of the story, and then decide whether Kenan Mursaloglu can continue running BBQ King next to the youth centre.
However, that decision has been postponed, because Mr Mursaloglu couldn’t join the virtual meeting.
A council spokesman said: “It was cancelled at the request of the applicant because he had technical difficulties joining the virtual meeting. We’re now working with him to set up a new date.”
More than 3,700 people have signed a petition to ask the council to let Mr Mursaloglu continue trading from the car park of the youth centre.
