A CARE home has had it's rating downgraded by the Care Quality Commission, concluding the branch "requires improvement."
The new rating for the Dimensions care home comes after an unannounced inspection took place in February.
According to the report, the care home on Sadlers Lane, Winnersh, Wokingham, rated 'good' for effective, caring and responsive care, however the report detailed that the care home 'requires improvement' in terms of having safe and well-led service.
This led to the CQC rating the care home overall as 'required improvement' in their report, published on April 9 - This was a downgrade since the last inspection, with the previous report rating the care home as 'good' on September 2, 2017.

The report showed where regulations were not being met, including: "The registered person failed to notify the Commission of notifiable events 'without delay'... The management of medicine was not safe...They did not
ensure there were established processes to ensure compliance with all the fundamental standards..." and "The registered person did not operate effective recruitment procedures to ensure people were safe from risks of being
cared for by inappropriate and unfit staff."
A spokesman for Dimensions said: "We were extremely disappointed to receive a downgraded rating at Sadlers Lane, and are working with the CQC to make the required improvements.
"There were numerous positives to take from the report detail.
"In particular we were pleased at supportive comments from relatives, and the inspector’s note that, 'People's support focused on them having as many opportunities as possible for them to gain new skills and become more independent.”
