PRIME minister Boris Johnson is expected to give guidance in the next few days on how coronavirus lockdown measures will be eased.
These decisions couldn't come soon enough as people grow concerned over the impact the lockdown has on our freedom and the damage it may cause to the economy.

However, as Covid-19 still stands as a battle for our frontline staff in the NHS and key workers, a YouGov opinion poll conducted on Friday, May 1 found that 77 per cent of Britons were in favour of extending the lockdown beyond May 7.
So we wanted to find out from our readers whether they think it would be sensible to begin lifting restrictions over the next couple of weeks.

On our social media poll, 100 people responded with comments with 85 people saying it is too soon to relax the lockdown.
Many residents think a few more weeks of lockdown would "better prepare us" in terms of track and tracing, testing and a vaccine.

Jane Grimshaw said: "I believe a few more weeks to be better prepared, drugs, testing, track and tracing etc. I certainly don't feel it's safe yet."

Another person added: "We all want to see our family and friends but rushing into a release from lockdown could have a negative effect... please stay patient. Stay safe."
One person thinks restrictions should be lifted as coronavirus is "here to stay, so lets just get on with it."
Monique Chennell thinks: "Yes, if other countries are doing well with easing restrictions we will be, especially in small towns where there has been hardly no cases which there are a lot of towns in this area!"
Andrew Taylor added: "There might not be a vaccine for years. We simply can’t live like this for a huge amount of time as the economy will completely collapse. A gradual ease of the lockdown will be needed. Might not be next week by by June I would think it will have too. I’ve been at work every other day from the start. Next week they are talking about full time again with staggered shifts etc. Life will have to continue at some point."
