WE ARE all starting to crave what we can't have during lockdown and the traditional British fish and chip takeaway seems to top the list for many.
Many of us are missing the guilty pleasure of beer battered cod, and vinegar-clad chips (or maybe you are more a pie and chips person).
So we had a look through the top rated chippys in the area and find out which ones are still taking orders during lockdown.
1. Sea Master Fish and Chips, Meadway Precinct
This takeaway has a four star rating from reviewers on Trip Advisor, and appears to taking orders as usual with review from the past few weeks.
2. Tasty Plaice in Park Lane, Reading
This Tilehurst takeaway has a 4.5 star rating with more than 100 reviews from customers on Trip Advisor. The Facebook page has been rammed with delicious pictures and videos in recent weeks and ask people to adhere to the call & collect structure.
3. Station Fish Bar in Wokingham
Station Fish Bar has a 4 star out of 5 from customers on Trip Advisor, and write online that it has reopened as of April 20. The team have urged people to call ahead of time to ensure they can collect without delay in the shop.
4. Churchill Fish and Chips, Bracknell
This takeaway in Harmans Water has got three stars with customer ratings on Trip Advisor. Clicking through to the companies website it has all the menu online and offers click and collect, or delivery options during lockdown.
