ASCOT Racecourse has given it's latest update following the governments ruling today on 'no elite sport' events to take place until June 1.
Organisers of Royal Ascot are yet to make an official statement on whether the event will go ahead behind closed doors despite this ruling.

The highly anticipated event, which attracts thousands of visitors each year, is set to take place from June 16 to 20 this year.
However, the racecourse has said they have not many any decisions either way.

A spokesman from the racecourse said: "The BHA and the industry as whole, through the resumption of racing group, will be discussing the latest governmental advice over the coming days and any update on the prospects of racing’s return will come through that vehicle. Until that time, we can’t comment on specifics such as Royal Ascot.
