A HAPPY couple are celebrating getting engaged on a day which marked hope in the fight against the coronavirus.
Michael Young and his fiancée Lauren from Bracknell are both frontline NHS workers, with Mike as a paramedic and Lauren working in the intensive care unit at Frimley Park.

The two love birds wanted to share the good news after he popped the question on VE day last Friday, May 8.
He said: "As you can imagine, these past few weeks have been testing for the both of us with Covid-19 all around us.

"I hope this news might make a few people smile at this difficult and testing time."
The 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe day marked a special day for change in this unprecedented time.

For many, people celebrated the day by having social distancing street parties as a sign that the UK can pull together and be strong during the lockdown.
And for couples like Michael and Lauren, the lockdown didn't stop the pair from showing their affection towards eachother.
