A GOLF complex in the Wokingham borough has announced that it is to reopen today, following the government's latest lockdown guidelines.
Downshire Golf Complex made the announcement on Thursday, May 14, that the site would be open as of today, May 15, provided users adhere to social distancing rules.
The management organisation for the site, Everyone Active, have said they have implemented strict procedures to ensure social distancing on and around the course, along with removing certain equipment so users cannot touch surfaces.

Mark Tennant, Everyone Active’s Contract Manager, said: "We’re very much looking forward to reopening the course and welcoming back our loyal members.
"We’ve been overwhelmed with the support we have received from customers during these unprecedented times, and we’re so grateful.
"Ensuring our colleagues and customers remain safe is our number one priority and we have carefully considered the strict measurements to ensure we adhere to the guidance.
"We cannot stress enough that, whilst the course is reopening, it is incredibly important that we all remain vigilant and considerate of our fellow players.
"We look forward to welcoming everyone back and thanking them for their patience."

"We welcome Everyone Active’s decision to reopen following the revised government guidelines as we know that exercise outdoors is helpful for mental and physical wellbeing.
"Users must follow the social distancing guidelines and other measures that Everyone Active has in place, so that the facility can be used by all as safely as possible."
