A BBC weather present has hailed the 'genius' doctor who helped her after she got knocked off her bike by a car in Berkshire.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust was praised in a tweet shared by BBC Breakfast, with Carol Kirkwood thanking them for helping her after she got injured.

She used air time on the breakfast bulletin to thank Thames Valley Police officers Chris and Faye, the two ambulance crews Miranda and Stewart and Peter Foskett-Tharby at Wexham Park Hospital.
Carol said: "I was out on my bike and I got knocked off it by a car that drove into me and I got injured. It was a pure accident of course. But, this is a great opportunity to say thank you to the three cyclists who helped me immediately after the incident and also the police, Thames Valley Police, that was Chris and Faye.

"And then the ambulance that also attended and took me to hospital and that was Miranda and Stewart. And at Wexham Park Hospital, this man is a genius, his name is Peter Foskett-Tharby and I can't thank him enough."

The hospital trust runs Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, where she was treated as well as Frimley Park Hospital and Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot.
