A MAN has been charged after police responded to reports a key worker had been attacked who were then lead on a high-speed car chase. 

It comes after police were reported to a disturbance at about 12.15am on Monday, May 18 in Crossfell, Bracknell.

When police arrived, a car was driving towards two police officers before crashing into a parked car and a police vehicle.

Officers then pursued the vehicle, where it reached speeds of up to 110mph before being brought to a stop.

There were no injuries during the incident.

Emil Atanasov, 34, of North View, Binfield, was charged on Tuesday, May 19, with a count each of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and drink driving.

Police also charged him with two counts of assault on an emergency worker and one count of breaching a non-molestation order.

Atanasov appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 19.

He was remanded into custody and he will appear at Reading Crown Court on 22 June.
