BERKSHIRE is a hub for traditional country pubs and town centre brewery tap rooms.
Over the years, some of our much-loved locals are no more and sadly many of us would have enjoyed having a drink there to this day.

Whether its pubs being knocked down to be turned into housing developments or flats or renovated into restaurants, we've taken a look back at some of Berkshire's long lost pubs.

Ascot pubs
The Seven Stars was situated on London Road in Ascot has since been used as a Chinese restaurant.
The Gold Cup was situated at 102 Fernbank Road, Ascot and it closed in 2011.
Kirby Homes submitted a planning application to Bracknell Forest Council where the pub would be converted into two three-bedroom semi-detached homes and three three-bedroom terraced houses.
A number of objections were submitted from residents and Winkfield Parish Council, who believe that parking provision and access which are earmarked as from Fernbank Road, should be from Gold Cup Lane.
Bracknell
The Fox & Hounds
This pub was situated on Hancombe Road. This pub was under the ownership of Enterprise Inns at time of closure.
Six houses were erected at the site on Hancombe Road, following the conversion of the current pub site.
The Blue Lion
The Blue Lion was situated on Broad Lane. This pub closed its doors to punters in October 2014. A planning application had been submitted to Bracknell Forest Council on behalf of FPC (Bracknell) LLP seeking permission to tear down the pub, which has stood in its spot since 1870, and replace it with a convenience store with flats on the first floor.
The Red Lion
The Red Lion was situated on the High Street and shut in 2013. It has since reopened as a restaurant.
Reading
The Brewery Tap
The pub was situated at 27 Castle Street and opened and closed several times in the 2000s.
It has since been converted into Brewdog after plans came into place in January 2018.
The Coopers Arms
The pub was located at 31 Market Place and closed in 2010. It was a historic town centre pub and called its last orders due to poor trade.
The site is owned by developer Brook Henderson.
Correction: The Reading Chronicle said the Blagrave Arms closed down but it didn't and it is open, unfortunately, we got this information wrong.
