THE future of the town's ice-rink and ski-slope hangs in the balance following the latest announcement.

Almost 11,000 people have signed a petition to save a much-loved leisure complex and ice rink to keep it open.

It follows an announcement from The John Nike Leisure Sport Complex where they have started consultations on potential redundancies.

The site in Binfield closed on March 20 and the company said they cannot continue to finance the losses of the business due to the financial strains of Covid-19.

But with the petition gaining momentum online, it's clear to see the leisure complex has a soft place in people's hearts.
