OVER the past couple of months there has been a similar crime which takes place in Bracknell...bike thefts.
But what tends to be the outcome of these crimes?

The Bracknell News has delved into more statistics to round up the five most common outcomes of different crimes in the Bracknell Forest, based on the most recent police figures for a period of 12 months (May 2019 - April 2020).
Of the 445 crimes investigated in Bracknell Forest in this period, the most common outcome was the investigation being completed with no suspect identified - 130 cases in the period saw this kind of outcome.

Below are the most common five.
- Investigation complete; no suspect identified (130, 29.2%
- Unable to prosecute suspect (110. 24.7%)
- Status update unavailable (69. 15.5%)
- Other outcomes (52, 11.7%)
- Under investigation (34, 7.6%)
Other crime outcomes will see defendants sent to crown court, offender sent to prison, offender fined, offender giving penalty notice or given caution, awaiting a court outcome or further investigation is not in the public interest.
