Consultations on potential redundancies have begun and the future of the site hangs in the balance.
MP James Sunderland has now stepped in to ask the government for support for valuable leisure and sporting facilities when they are facing financial difficulties.
Speaking at the House of Commons today, he said: "Bracknell is very proud to have a flagship ice rink and ski slope. its important for the community and used by many people locally and widely.
"Ive heard there are fiscal pressures and I am worried it may close. I do not want that to happen and I will champion my constituents to assure that does not happen.
"So I am confident with support from the community and local council and also with local businesses, we can generate the funding that we need for this facility to develop and thrive in the future."
James Rayburn whose petition to save the ice rink and ski slope has gained momentum with almost 12,000 signatures, now has set up a Facebook group to step up efforts in his campaign.
With more than 1,000 members in the group, many residents responded positively to the MPs backing in parliament today.

Andy Downs said: "Finally an MP worth his salt. Thank you Rt Hon Mr James Sunderland. This is an important facility where many sports are partaken, skills learned, teams formed and plays in invaluable role for not only the children and young adults growing up in the surrounding towns, but also the wider community who go to watch hockey, figure skating events, and so on.
"With the population boom in Bracknell, Wokingham, Crowthorne and so on, never more have leisure facilities meant so much."
