LIBRARIES in Bracknell have announced their plans to reopen next week.

The announcement from Bracknell Forest Library Service arises following the government's continued relaxation of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However libraries in Bracknell, Crowthorne and Whitegrove have been adjusted in order to ensure the safety of residents, including only remaining open Monday to Saturday, 10am - 4pm (Bracknell library closed on Wednesday), a select and collect service, as well as limiting browsing options and ensuring social distancing is adhered to.

A home delivery service is also available.

A spokesman said: "We’re back and we are looking forward to welcoming you very soon!

"On Monday, July 6, Bracknell and Crowthorne Libraries will be re-opening.

"This is the first phase of our re-opening schedule, and opening hours will be slightly reduced to enable staff to undertake essential tasks in the public areas whilst no-one else is present.

"We will be observing safety measures in accordance with Public Health guidance to ensure staff and customer safety."
