“We’ve been overwhelmed with the support we have received from customers during these unprecedented times, and we’re so grateful. Like many other industries, leisure has been greatly affected by the lockdown.

"Ensuring our colleagues and customers remain safe is our number one priority and we have carefully considered the strict measures to ensure we adhere to the guidance. Please remember to bring your e+ card when you return to the centre, you will need this to access the facilities. This new turnstile only entry, along with the other steps we’ve taken, will help to keep you, the centre staff and those around you safe."

The swimming pool facilities will be opening shortly after and all customers will be communicated to directly regarding the details for reopening.

Additional cleaning measures will be taken across the centre and social distancing to ensure everyone can work out while keeping a safe distance from others.

Everyone using the gym will be required to use their e+ card to access the centre via turnstiles, minimising contact with staff and supporting contact tracing, if needed.

All activities will need to be pre booked via the Everyone Active app or website.

The Downshire Golf Complex is also open with safety measures in place.

Coral Reef Waterworld, the third site managed by Everyone Active, will remain closed while the team continues work to ensure a safe re-opening in line with Government guidance.

“The availability of sports and leisure facilities is crucial to the borough’s recovery from the pandemic, particularly in relation to mental health and wellbeing, as well as physical health.

“As a well known and loved community leisure facility in the borough, the council‘s Executive agreed that it was important to support Everyone Active with Bracknell Leisure Centre’s re-opening, in line with government guidance.

“I hope residents enjoy returning to their sports and fitness activities again, while following the measures in place to keep them safe.”
