A PENSIONER feels outraged for having to pay to park outside her home after she claims she had not been aware of a new parking scheme.
Lilian Holliday, 70, said she had 'not been informed' a new parking scheme had been enforced in Horsneile Lane, Bracknell.

Despite these claims, Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) said they sent a letter to residents on July 1 to let them know of the changes.
Under the new parking scheme, residents have to have a new parking permit.
However, Lilian explains that she received 'no notification' for this and has no means to apply for a permit due to having no access to a computer.
She said: "I am extremely annoyed that no notification was given as to the reinforcement of the parking scheme, and the extreme difficulty I am finding in applying for a new permit, as I am 70 years of age and do not have the facility to apply on line.

"I had not been informed that the parking scheme for Horsneile Lane had been reintroduced from it's cessation in April when I tried to pay my resident parking. I have now received a parking ticket for parking outside my home. I am 70 years old and find it impossible to apply for a parking permit as I do not have the facility via computer to submit all the documents required ?
"Why has the Bracknell forest made it so difficult to abide by their rules regarding parking?"
BFC explained that if residents have difficulty in getting a permit, they can phone the council who will talk residents through it and help them apply.
Kevin Gibbs, executive director for delivery said: “We introduced a new parking management scheme and enforcement contractor, NSL, on 1 July.

"Residents were contacted by letter prior to this to inform them of the upcoming changes, and to give them a phone number and email to contact with any queries.
“The new scheme requires residents to apply for parking permits via an online system."
