HARDWORKING volunteers have walked the length of Bracknell to Newport in miles to collect litter including a fridge freezer and pushchair.
Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue members spent some time picking litter last week after noticing "an increasing amount of litter left" in parks and open spaces.

The volunteers took to Bracknell, Sandhurst, Ascot, Wokingham and other parts of Berkshire and collected more than 50 bags of rubbish.
Andrew Viney from BLSR said: "At Berkshire Lowland Search & Rescue we spend a lot of our time whether out on call outs or training in our beautiful Berkshire countryside.

"As we make our way around we cannot help but notice an increasing amount of litter left in our parks and open spacesThey have walked over 107.4 miles and collected over 50 bags of litter. The team have discovered fridge freezers dumped in Maidenhead and picked up a submerged Pushchair and gas bottle from the River Kennet."
Berkshire Lowland Search & Rescue are a 100 per cent volunteer staffed charity who provide highly trained searchers to assist the police in the search for high risk vulnerable missing persons such as young children, those living with dementia or despondent.
