BRACKNELL has many pleasant landmarks to its name, with several green spaces and picturesque spots often used as filming locations, so it's easy to forget that the town also homes some of the most dangerous psychiatric patients in the country.
In the centre of Crowthorne sits Broadmoor Hospital - the oldest of the three high-security psychiatric hospitals in England.

From the Stockwell Strangler to the Yorkshire Ripper, the hospital has seen some terrifyingly infamous people walk through its doors.
And true-crime TV fans will be able to watch what happens inside Broadmoor Hospital.
A new documentary called 'Inside Broadmoor: Criminally Insane' aired last night on Channel 5 at 11pm.
This two part special marks the 150th anniversary of Broadmoor and the show has exclusive and unprecedented access to Broadmoor’s archive.

Crime fans will also learn about the history of the world’s most famous and feared hospital in Britain. Set in the Victorian era to the present day, the show examines the diverse treatments and regimes that have been applied to help the patients inside.
