Massive 'closing down' sale posters were plastered on the windows, leaving residents feeling sad over the closure.

However, the budget store has decided not to close down and will remain open in the town centre.

A spokesman said: “Poundland is delighted to announce it is keeping the store in Princess Square shopping centre, Bracknell, open.

"We never want to close any store and leave our customers disappointed. We are pleased that we have been able to reach agreement with our landlord.

"It's also great news for our colleagues. Our nearby store at the Peel Centre in Bracknell is open as usual.”

Hopefully this news will please residents in the town as many aired their concerns over the potential closure.
