Available on app stores and online, Hotboxd is a new service which promises ‘restaurant-quality food’ from its own menu delivered ‘piping hot’ to diners’ doors.
Hotboxd already has a base in Alton operating from a menu which includes street food, burgers, vegetarian options, pub classics, ribs, pizzas and more.
Their Facebook page description reads: “Our food arrives quick-smart and as hot as it left the kitchen, thanks to our enroute heating tech. No need to crank up the microwave!!!”

There would be no takeaway collection service option available, however, and no on-site dining either.
According to planning documents, the business would create ten full-time jobs and five part-time jobs.
Operating hours would be from 7am to 10.30pm daily.
