‘NEXT outlet’ signs have been added to the front of The Peel Centre’s former Next stores.
Next and Next Home closed down in September in line with the expiration of the retailer’s lease at the Skimped Hill shopping site.

But now it appears fashion and homeware brand’s stay at The Peel Centre will carry on in some form with the possibility of Next Outlet setting up in town.

The News contacted both Next and The Peel Centre to confirm the switch, but neither responded.
The installation of the new signs comes as a planning application to change part of the store’s use was lodged.

A proposal to allocate 30 per cent of the sales area at Unit 4a of The Peel Centre — where Next used to stand — to allow the sale of food was submitted in late September.
Bracknell Forest Council is currently considering the plan.
Next’s store at The Lexicon still remains open.
