A CARING family from Bracknell will turn on their Christmas lights early this year in memory of their brother who died four years ago.
Dan Elkington from Priestwood is invited his neighbourhood to watch him and his family turn on the lights tonight (October 19) to commemorate his brother Alex who died in October 2016.

Speaking to the News, the 29-year-old said: "The light switch on is important to us because it brings the family and the community together to remember such a lovely and caring son, brother and uncle especially at a time like this where the world is full of sadness because of Covid.
"It's nice for people gather together to not just remember Alex but to bring joy to the community."
Alex had cerebral palsy and was 22 when he died.

He was described by his brother as a "happy" person who was always "smiling and never crying".
Ever since his death, the family have been brought together and are a lot closer.
Dan added: "Me and my brother were extremely close. I was very protective over him because he couldn't walk or talk or do anything for himself so my whole family took care of him basically."
In recent years, about 40 residents who live nearby turn up to support the family and watch the Christmas lights.
Residents have also made donations to Make A Wish charity, which granted Alex his dying wish to visit Disneyland Paris.
Visitors tonight are asked to social distance and wear face masks (where possible).
The address is: 35 Moordale Avenue, Priestwood, RG42 1SA
