Local communities, pubs, cafes and families have pulled together to help children from going hungry.
It comes after a national backlash against the Conservative government for voting against extended free school meals to students during the October half-term.
Following a parliament vote on Wednesday, October 21, it was revealed that Mr Sunderland was among the 'no' voters, which won a majority nationally.

Ultimately, Labour's motion to extend free school meals over school holidays was voted against by 322 votes to 261 - a majority of 61.
Residents across Bracknell Forest were shocked to hear how some pupils would go hungry during the school break because of the Tories decision.

But the community response has been amazing and people have taken it into their own hands to help those families who are less fortunate.
Pubs like the Plough and Harrow are offering free school meals every lunchtime until Friday, October 30 in support of footballer Marcus Rashford's campaign.
They felt so passionate about the cause that they were caught up in a row with the former mayor of Bracknell Forest.

Morrisons in Bracknell has pledged to help donate hundreds of lunchboxes daily to help school children in need.
The lunch box includes a freshly made sandwich, a piece of fruit and a Soreen snack pack.
Rebecca Singleton, customer and community director at Morrisons, said: “We want to do our bit to ensure that as many school children as possible can eat good, nutritious food while they are out of school. We will be delighted if customers are also able to donate food in our stores to help fight holiday hunger.”
Residents have also helped families in need through Facebook page Free Holiday Lunches for Bracknell Kids.
On the first day of the October half-term, 26 children in Bracknell from 10 families received 250 meals, plus additional items such as loo rolls and the odd bunch of flowers to brighten parents days.
One dad from Ascot even rustled up 30 batches of Spaghetti Bolognese to help children in the area.
On Tuesday, Sandra Studer-Martinez husband cooked the traditional Italian food with her daughter helping her make fruit kebabs dripped with chocolate.
She said she was even "happy to deliver the meals" to families in Ascot.
Sandra said: "Team work makes the dream work (as my little girl loves to say)"
