Michael Dewick got in touch to say he was in the same class as Martin Donohue but unfortunately doesn't have the class photo.

He contacted the News and said: "I believe I will be on the other half of the photo, I was in the same class as Martin Donohue, and lived in the same road, Braybrooke road.

"Martin lived at the Kennel Lane end I lived at the Shepherds Lane end It would be interesting to see the other half of the photo, I used to sit next to John Lovejoy at Sandy Lane, not sure I can spot him in the photo

Alumni of Sandy Lane Primary School Martin Donohue found half of a school photo whilst looking through his late mother's estate papers.

The 72-year-old who lives in Canada says he still remembers the names of the students in the photo who he was classmates with.

He said: "I remember my Mother showing me the photograph after it was taken but I have not seen it in over Sixty years. I still remember the names of many of the children in the photograph. Seeing all those young smiling faces brings back fond memories of how beautiful Old Bracknell was and the wonderful time I spent at Sandy Lane School."

As such, the ex-Sandy Lane pupil wants to see the other half of the photo and hopes the people of Bracknell will help him discover it.

Martin's appeal is for former students of Sandy Lane Primary School in the 1950s to come forward who may have the second half of the classroom photo as pictured above.

He added: "I am 72 years old and have been living in Canada for over fifty years now but I would dearly love to see other half of the photograph as I am among those happy smiling faces. Hope you can help."
