YET more changes are set to be made at Bracknell’s Morrisons in new plans set to improve the Skimped Hill site.
This is just one of five interesting plans validated by Bracknell Forest Council in the past week.

Upgrades at Morrisons (planning reference 20/00959/FUL)
The popular supermarket, based at The Peel Centre on Skimped Hill Lane, is set for another round of upgrades after permission was granted to add new features at the site back in October.
This time around, bosses at the store have asked the council to say yes to plans which would see a freestanding warehouse pod go up at the side of the supermarket.

They also want to erect an open framed vehicle port, a storeroom to the side of the existing store and gas coolers.
A description of the proposal read: “Morrisons propose a warehouse/store room bolted onto the side of their existing store. This room provides an active drop off/storage area for customers’ online shopping goods picked from the main sales floor and packed ready for pick up.
“The packed goods are then walked to the waiting van and loaded for delivery.”
Big changes at Wellington College (20/00945/FUL and 20/00946/LB)
Huge changes are set to be made at the historic Crowthorne college, according to two separate plans validated in the past week.
One plan sees a request for a part-three/part-four storey boarding house to go up, along with a part-two/part-three storey detached day house and a single-storey energy centre with associated parking and landscaping.
Adding these new buildings would mean the Old Laundry House would have to be demolished.

But because Wellington College is a grade 2 listed building, this means it has protections which prohibit alterations being made to the site without special permission from the council.
Bosses at the college have therefore sent off a separate proposal to demolish the Old Laundry House.
Tree-cutting in Ascot (20/00363/TRTPO)
Bosses at the Licensed Victuallers School (also known to most as LVS) in Ascot want to make some changes to the trees at their London Road site.

They have applied for permission to knock down two and prune six trees, all of which are protected by tree preservation orders.
As with all applications listed above, this plan is pending consideration.
Plans for 55 homes and a care home in Binfield (20/00947/FUL)
And if you didn’t catch it earlier this week, the News revealed major building plans for land north of Cain Road in Binfield.
Developers are hoping to build dozens of new homes and a large care home at the site.
