It comes after a positive case amongst the school's lunch team was confirmed.
The letter addressed to parents said: "Dear Parents/Carers,IIn the last 20 minutes, I have been informed of a positive case amongst the lunch team at our school. I am so sorry to inform you that, with the support of the Local Authority, I have taken the very difficult decision to ask all children to remain at home for tomorrow, Monday 14 December.
"This will allow me the chance to properly assess the risk of our school community having come into contact with a positive case of Covid-19 to ensure that everyone stays safe. I know that this will cause you much anxiety and inconvenience but I want to ensure that I take the appropriate precautions to safeguard everyone.
"Remote learning opportunities will be available on the school website and further information will be shared with you just as soon as I am able to do so tomorrow.
"I would be most grateful if this could be shared on your school-focused social media groups to ensure that our whole school community hears about this as soon as possible."
