House prices dropped by 2.4 per cent in Bracknell Forest in October, new figures show.
The drop contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area suffer a 0.4 per cent annual decline.

The average Bracknell Forest house price in October was £333,595, Land Registry figures show – a 2.4 per cent decrease on September.
Over the month, the picture was worse than that across the South East, where prices increased 0.4 per cent, and Bracknell Forest underperformed compared to the 0.7 per cent rise for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Bracknell Forest remained level – putting the area 69th among the South East’s 74 local authorities for annual growth.

Owners of flats fared worst in Bracknell Forest in October – they dropped 3 per cent in price, to £199,857 on average. Over the last year, prices dropped by 3.6 per cent.

Detached: down 1.9% monthly; up 1.5% annually; £620,981 average Semi-detached: down 2.3% monthly; up 0.5% annually; £370,974 average Terraced: down 2.4% monthly; remained level over the year; £285,630 average
First-time buyers in Bracknell Forest spent an average of £270,400 on their property – £2,800 less than a year ago, and £15,200 more than in September 2015.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £390,900 on average in October – 44.6 per cent more than first-time buyers.
