A vital sports club in Bracknell is at risk of closure having been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bracknell Rugby Football Club launched a fundraising appeal to get as many donations from the local community.
The club in Lily Hill Park hopes to raise £10,000, which will ensure future financial security and prevent it from closing down.
Money raised from the fundraiser will be plugged into improving the facilities and provide the upkeep and ongoing maintenance of its existing facilities by their volunteer work force.
Bracknell Rugby Football club said: "Please don't let Bracknell and our community lose another asset.
"The Covid-19 pandemic meant that no rugby matches have been played since March.
"Unfortunately this also meant that none of our fundraising activities could take place. This has severely affected our revenue for nine months, although the overheads involved in running our club remain. We lost 90 per cent of our income in 2020 but the bills still had to be paid.
"COVID-19 lockdowns have had a serious effect on our finances. The ongoing lockdown restrictions have resulted in substantial loss of revenue and we are subsisting on dwindling reserves.
"We had been building up our reserves to pay for improvements to our Clubhouse."
