The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Court

December 4:

DAMIEN LEWIS, 29, of Bywood in Bracknell, convicted of assault by beating in Bracknell on June 22, and admitted failing to surrender to custody at Reading Magistrates Court on December 1. Also admitted commission for a further offence while a suspended sentence was in order, namely breaching a non-molestation order, failing to surrender to police or court bail at appointed time, and assault by beating. Sentenced to 46 weeks in prison due to ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’ and previous record of offending.

DUMITREL-MIHAITA BACIU, 45, of Flemming Close, Arborfield, admitted drink-driving on Lower Earley Way, Reading, on October 18. Found to have 78mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also admitted using a vehicle in public without correct insurance on same occasion. Fined £750. Must pay £75 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 40 months.

Bracknell News:

S K MOTORS READING LTD, Fishponds Road, Wokingham, convicted of keeping an unlicensed vehicle in Wokingham on October 28, 2019. Fined £660. Also ordered to pay £16.67 vehicle excise back duty and £200 court costs.

MUJAHID RAJA, 25, of London Road, Bracknell, admitted possession of MDMA in Windsor on November 24, 2019, and admitted possession of a knuckle duster in Windsor on November 24, 2019. Given a community order including rehabilitation requirements. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
