A BRACKNELL resident plans to walk the equivalent distance of Lands End to John O' Groats by the end of the month.
Peter Licourinos, from Bracknell, had decided to walk the distance around the area where he lives, to raise funds for Dementia research after his father died of the illness last year.

Peter started his walking in January, and plans to carry out the 603 mile (the distance measured 'as the crow flies') walk by the end of March.
So far, Peter has raised a total of £3,085 for Dementia UK.
He said: "Everyone that knows me or my family or knew my dad, knows he was my true life hero.
"A great man that did so much for so many people and good causes.
"He was a truly selfless and kind man that worked with mentally handicapped and disabled children for over 35 years, fostered children, did endless charity work and was an incredible human being, sportsman, carpenter, great husband, wonderful dad and an incredible soul!

"Unfortunately we lost him last year to dementia and due to Covid-19 were restricted to a funeral of only 8 people - it just did not feel fair.
"I'm raising money in aid of Dementia UK and would love it if you could please join me in respecting such an incredible man whilst helping an incredible cause at the same time. Every and any donation will help!"
