A POPULAR town centre BBQ restaurant is set to get a big makeover.
That’s one of three interesting planning applications validated by Bracknell Forest Council in the past week.

New motorbike store (planning reference: 21/00179/FUL)
The Western Centre could soon be home to a motorcycle sales and repair store, according to new plans.
Applicants are hoping to convert one of the units currently used for storage at The Western Centre into their new motorcycle store.

It is the same unit where food delivery service Hotboxd had hoped to set up after gaining planning permission last year.
But their move into the unit has not taken place and the applicant is hoping to take advantage of the empty unit.
According to plans, the store will sell new and used motorcycles as well as service them.
Three leading motorcycle brands will be sold at the site.
The new store would create five new full-time jobs.
Makeover at Blue’s Smokehouse (21/00176/A)
The town centre’s popular BBQ restaurant is set to get a glamorous makeover as part of new plans submitted to the council.
Images attached to the proposal show the eatery, on High Street, will get a new lick of light blue paint and several new signs.

One sign, a timber sign to be displayed on the right-hand side of the front of the building, ‘will give a nod to the history of the site as this is where the sign was located when the [building] was still known as The Red Lion.’
Because of the building’s local significance, the owners of Blue’s Smokehouse also have to apply to get special permission from the council to make changes to the premises as it is protected as a listed building.
Fourteen new floodlights are also proposed for the restaurant helping to illuminate the new signage.
20 new storage containers (21/00150/FUL)
Palm Hill estate on London Road could soon be welcome 20 new storage containers if new plans are given the go-ahead.
Shanly Homes want to place the containers at the site for a period of 24 months.

It is not stated exactly what the storage containers will contain, but the applicant has also applied for a change of use for the estate so it can be classed as an area dedicated for storage.
This plan, like the others listed above, is currently pending consideration from Bracknell Forest Council.
